Brad Jeske's passion spans the entire history of art—from the Paleolithic era to the present—and it is his desire to understand the mysteries of artistic expression that led him to pursue life as an artist. He earned a BFA from Indiana State University and also studied at the Art Institute in New York. Over the years, he has exhibited in both solo and group shows, sold work online, and worked extensively in graphic illustration.
Working primarily in oils on canvas, his paintings begin with small thumbnail sketches that establish the composition. As color and value develop, the work often evolves in unexpected directions, drawing inspiration from nature—especially the complex forms of plants and flowers.
"I’m an art junkie! My desktop is bogged down and my USBs are packed with paintings and drawings I’ve downloaded from the internet. I like to look at art almost as much as I like making it."
